Day 8 of Distance Learning:

Kia Ora Students, Whanau and Friends,

Week 2 and day 8 of distance learning has come to an end and we are heading into a nice long weekend break.

I hope you all take time off to rest, recoup and spend time relaxing quality time with your family. I know I will be.

Thank you to everyone who dressed up in costume and joined me this morning for our morning video meeting. I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did, seeing and sharing all the hard work room 19 has been doing, feeding your puppets and sharing a morning tea snack or two virtually.

 To all my students of Room 19 and your families, I want to thank you for all your efforts, time and hard work over these 8 days of distance home learning. You are all appreciated for all that you do, for your time and patience, and understanding in these new challenges and while we get these learning programs established. I am proud of you, and feel so honored, blessed and thankful to be in your lives as your Year 1 and 2 teacher. You have made this period an enjoyable one for me, and I thank you from the bottom of my heart.

For all the fans of Minecraft, I thought I would share an amazing video from a talent man who used technology and Minecraft to create a wonderful video. I hope you can see and appreciate the effort, time and skill this young man has shown in this video. It really is amazing what we can accomplish with technology.

Until our next post, please take care of yourselves and your family, stay safe in your bubble. There will be ANZAC activities happening next week, but if you are paying tribute to our war hero's this week, I hope you will join me on Saturday and if possible light a candle in remembrance for those who stood up for our freedom.
