It is the end of Thursday, day 7 of our distance home learning - or as I like to call it Friday eve :)
Fantastic work by everyone as usual, so thank you for all your hard work students and parents. It is appreciated, and I am proud of you all. The week is almost over, so hang in there.
Here are some of today's super learners:
Today Noor worked on making his puppet, made his shopping list items out of cardboard, did a wonderful story board, and completed some Math challenges - he arranged the 8 animals in groups of 2, which was a success, then he arranged 21 animals into groups of 2 but that didn't work, so he re-arranged them in groups of 3 which was successful.
Woohoo Noor! What a wonderful show of trial and error learning. Finding different ways (equations) to group animals and persevering to make it work is what its all about. I'm so proud of you and your mum and I hope you enjoyed today's session :)
Here Nina proudly shows off her Greedy Cat sentence matching and story board:
Fantastic work Nina, your drawings and sentence capture the essence of the Greedy Cat story and your happy smiling face shows the sense of accomplishment you felt in doing such an excellent job. I'm so proud of you and your mum and I hope you enjoyed today's session :)

Axton you and Mum are doing a phenomenal job with all your creative home learning activities. I am proud of how far you have come in your learning journey especially since you have only be at school for less than 10 weeks, and some of these activities are quite challenging. You have shown great skill and perseverance with your work, and your drawing is getting better and better. You are definitely a room 19 super learner. Well done, keep up the awesome work and I hope you enjoyed today's
session :)

Today Dylan L happily did his story board with his super memory, and no peeking at the original story, he managed to it still the whole time to get it done, and I know Mum is as proud of your work as I am Dylan, so well done. Mum and Dylan also managed to have a boat trip on the banana boat that he made in between his other curricular learning time table. Mum and Dylan traveled to a lava Island which sounds so exciting, and luckily they were able to make it back safely.
Spectacular work Captain Dylan, I can see the efforts and brain power you are putting into your work and your progress is immense. I'm so proud of you and your mum and I hope you enjoyed today's session :)

Tai your picture is brilliant. I can see the effort and work you have put into drawing the lines and making the face. Your words are clear and well formed and I can see the thought that went into creating this story. Your progress is evident to see, and it shows that you have benefited from the one on one time your parents are providing you with. Well done, I'm so proud of you and your family and I hope you enjoyed today's session :)

Today I made my puppet (which I will show you tomorrow), and some poppies for my family to wear on Saturday, and for my letterbox to proudly display for this years Anzac 25 April 2020 in remembrance of my grandfather who fought for New Zealand in World War 2.
I hope you have all enjoyed looking at the wonderful work being created by Room 19's Super Learners, and I hope you join us for our next session where we will show off our Friday dress up, shared lunch Greedy Cat session.
