Kia Ora Everyone,

Today Nina was awarded with an online certificate for all of her efforts in her distance learning achievements. Congratulations Nina for all your hard work and effort.

Let's see Nina's journey over the last 5 weeks:

Nina, it has been a pure delight for me to see your personality emerge in the last 5 weeks, in our morning meets, and especially through your work and videos. I'm so proud of you and your mum, for all your hard work, persistence and creative expression in all that you do. I look forward to working together in class on the learn, create, share program, as I know you will give it all you have got, and show the artist you are. I hope you have a fun, safe weekend with your family, and take care until I see you on Monday (18th of May 2020).

Aroha nui,

Mrs Futcher :)

Day 22 of Distance Learning

Hi Everyone,

I hope you all enjoyed the last day of distance learning, and like me are looking forward to heading back to school on Monday the 18th of May 2020 for week 6 at alert level 2.

A huge thank you to all the parents/caregivers, family and students for your amazing effort and hard work over the last 8 weeks of level 4 and level 3 lock-down. I can see all the awesome benefits and effects of this challenging time that we all faced together.

No matter how you look back on this time, I hope you see the quality time and memories you made with your family, the effort in work, time and persistence you gained whether you achieved house cleanliness, educational work, office work or just navigating the new home bound routines. I have certainly enjoyed getting to know you and your children better, finding support, friendship and encouragement together and the many conversations we shared on a wide range of topics.

I look happily look forward to working together and building on these reciprocal relationships over the remaining school year. I thank you for your continued support, patience and understanding, as we move to the next chapter in our journey together.

Room 19's blog as of next week will be moving into the Learn, Create, Share chapter of school life, and I hope you continue to check in and follow with us on this exciting new journey. Your input and feedback, is very much appreciate and the children and I enjoy sharing our learning and activities with you (our learning community), as it strengthens us all in wonderful ways - so please stay tuned!
